Eligibility

· All entries must be completed after May 2023.

· Entries may include feature films, short films, documentaries and animations.

· Entries must be in high-definition digital format that meets technical standards.

Film Submission

· Entries must be submitted through the festival's official website, and the submission deadline is December 2024.

· Submissions must include a synopsis of the film, director introduction, film poster and stills.

· Each film must pay a registration fee of US$50, and student works can enjoy a 50% discount.

Film Selection

· The festival jury will select the films based on their artistic value, technical level and innovation.

· The selected films will be notified to the relevant creators by October 2024.

· The selected films must provide screening copies by December 2024.

Copyright and Authorization

· Entries must ensure that they have full copyright and screening authorization, including the right to use materials such as music, images and text.

· Participants are required to sign a screening authorization letter to allow the film festival to publicly screen their works during the event.

Awards

· The Kickings Theater Fantasy Film Screening has multiple awards, including Best Feature Film Award, Best Short Film Award, Best Documentary Award, Best Animation Award, Best Director Award, Best Screenplay Award, Best Cinematography Award, Best Editing Award, Best Original Score Award, Best Sound Design Award, Best Performance Award (Actor/Actress), Best New Filmmaker Award, Audience Choice Award, Innovation Award and Social Impact Award.

· Each award will be selected by the jury and the winners will be announced at the closing ceremony.

Screening and Promotion

· The selected films will be publicly screened during the film festival, and the specific screening time and number of sessions will be arranged by the organizing committee.

· The film festival has the right to use clips, posters and stills of the entries for promotion on the official website, social media and other publicity channels.

Audience Interaction

· During the film festival, director meetings, audience Q&A sessions and special lectures will be arranged, and the directors and creative teams of the selected films must cooperate and participate.

· The film festival encourages the audience to vote and select their favorite films. The audience choice award will be determined based on the audience voting results.

Technical requirements

· Screening copies must be provided in high-definition digital format (DCP, Blu-ray or high-quality digital files).

· Films must provide English subtitles, and films with non-English dialogues must provide bilingual subtitles in Chinese and English.

Commitment to participate

· Participants promise that their works are original and do not infringe on the copyright or other legal rights of others.

· Participants must ensure that the submitted films and materials are true and complete. If there is false or misleading information, the film festival has the right to disqualify them.

Other regulations

· The organizing committee of the film festival reserves the right to interpret these rules and adjust the rules due to special circumstances.

· Submission of works by participants is deemed to accept and agree to abide by these rules.
